C3 card balance check

C3 Card Balance Check: Free Ways & the AED 2 ATM Fee

Checking your C3Pay card balance is free in three places: the C3Pay app, a C3Pay or RAKBANK ATM, and C3Pay customer support. Check it at any other ATM in the UAE and AED 2 comes off your balance each time. Check it at an ATM abroad and it’s AED 5.

For a salary card, those small charges add up. Two balance checks and one withdrawal at the wrong machine every payday costs over AED 70 a year.

C3Pay balance check fees

Where you check Fee
C3Pay app Free
C3Pay ATM Free
RAKBANK ATM Free
C3Pay customer support Free
Any other ATM in the UAE AED 2.00 (incl. VAT)
Any ATM outside the UAE AED 5.00

The full C3Pay fees and charges schedule is part of the C3Pay terms, and the same table is available inside the app.

Check in the C3Pay app

The app shows your balance and full transaction history at any time, for free. It’s built for C3Pay cardholders only, and it’s available in English, Arabic, Bengali, Hindi, Malayalam, Tamil, Telugu and Urdu.

  1. Download C3Pay from the App Store or Google Play. On Google Play the developer is Edenred UAE.
  2. Register with your C3Pay card. First-time setup includes identity verification with your Emirates ID.
  3. Log in. Your balance is on the home screen.
  4. Tap through for transactions, including each salary credit.

In the app’s settings you can subscribe to SMS salary alerts, so a text arrives the moment your salary is credited. That saves checking the balance on payday at all.

If the app won’t let you log in

  • Make sure you’re using the mobile number registered to your C3Pay account. You can update it in the app’s profile once you’re logged in.
  • If you’ve changed phones, reinstall from the official store listing, not from a link someone sends you.
  • Use in-app support, which runs 24/7, or call 600 567772 between 9am and 5pm UAE time.

Check at an ATM

Use a C3Pay ATM or a RAKBANK ATM. Your card is issued by RAKBANK, and at both networks balance checks and cash withdrawals cost nothing, with no monthly limit on free withdrawals.

  1. Insert your C3Pay card.
  2. Enter your PIN. You can see your ATM PIN in the C3Pay app if you’ve forgotten it.
  3. Choose balance inquiry.

At any other bank’s ATM in the UAE, every step costs money:

Action at a non-C3Pay, non-RAKBANK ATM Fee
Balance inquiry AED 2.00
Cash withdrawal AED 2.10
Declined withdrawal (for example, not enough balance) AED 2.00

The declined-withdrawal fee is the one people miss. Trying to withdraw more than your balance at another bank’s machine costs AED 2 even though no cash comes out, so check in the app first.

Bank debit cards follow their own ATM balance check fees at the same machines, so these amounts apply to C3Pay only.

Check by calling C3Pay

Call 600 567772 (from abroad, +971 600 567772). The call centre is open 9am to 5pm UAE time, and a balance check through customer support is free. Outside those hours, use the app’s in-app support chat.

Never share your full card number with a caller who rings you, and never share your PIN or a one-time password with anyone, including C3Pay staff.

Your salary isn’t showing

C3Pay credits arrive from your employer through the Wage Protection System. If the balance hasn’t changed on payday:

  1. Check the app’s transaction list, not just the balance, in case the salary arrived and was partly spent or debited.
  2. Check that SMS salary alerts are switched on.
  3. Ask your employer’s HR or payroll team whether the salary file has been sent.

Under the current WPS rules, private-sector salaries for the previous month are due on the first day of each month. A UAE salary balance check also covers what to do once a salary is properly late.

Other C3Pay charges worth knowing

Balance checks aren’t the only small fees on the card. These apply under the current C3Pay schedule:

  • Inactivity fee: AED 2.10 a month if the account has no financial activity for more than 6 months.
  • Card replacement: AED 26.25 for a lost, stolen or damaged card.
  • Card renewal: free, with a delivery fee of AED 6.30.
  • Purchases in UAE shops and online: free.
  • Cash withdrawal abroad: AED 20 plus 3% of the amount.

C3Pay after leaving your job

Your C3Pay account, card and app stay active if you change employer or your job ends. Salary credits from the old employer stop, and any fee waivers tied to that employer end, so the standard fees above apply from then on. Keep checking in the app rather than at ATMs once you’re paying full fees.
