Emirates Islamic balance check

Emirates Islamic Balance Check: EI+ App, Phone, ATM & SMS Alerts

Call 600 599 995, enter your Phone Banking PIN at the automated menu, and Emirates Islamic reads out your account balance. That works at any hour and from any phone. The EI+ app and Online Banking show the same balance with your transaction history, and so does any Emirates Islamic ATM.

SMS works the other way round at Emirates Islamic: instead of you texting a command, the bank pushes your balance to you on a schedule you pick.

Ways to check an Emirates Islamic balance

Method When it suits you What you need
EI+ Mobile Banking app Everyday checks and transaction history App login
Online Banking Statements and downloads Online Banking login
Phone Banking, 600 599 995 No data, or you’d rather speak to someone Phone Banking PIN
Scheduled balance SMS A balance message without asking SMS Banking subscription
Emirates Islamic ATM You’re withdrawing cash anyway Debit card and PIN

In the EI+ app or Online Banking

Log in to the EI+ app and your accounts show their balances. Open an account for its recent transactions. Online Banking gives the same view in a browser and is the easier route for a statement. Both are also where you subscribe to SMS Banking, covered below.

Phone Banking

Phone Banking is open 24/7 on 600 599 995. Through the automated IVR you can:

  • Check your account balances
  • View recent transactions
  • Transfer money between your own accounts
  • Pay existing beneficiaries
  • Check a credit card balance, recent transactions and the amount due

You need a Phone Banking PIN before the IVR will give you any account information. Set it by calling 600 599 995 and following the prompts, or ask a Phone Banking agent to guide you through it. Agents speak Arabic, English, Hindi and Urdu.

SMS balance alerts

Emirates Islamic’s SMS Banking is alert-based. Once you subscribe, the bank sends your available balance to your phone at the frequency you choose:

  • Daily
  • Weekly
  • Fortnightly
  • Monthly

Several other alerts carry your balance as well. An ATM withdrawal alert ends with the available balance, and a salary credit alert tells you the salary has been deposited and gives the new available balance in the same message. If you’re paid into this account, the salary alert alone answers “has my salary come?” without you checking anything.

How to subscribe

  1. Log in to Online Banking. If you’re not registered, register first.
  2. Open the SMS Banking option.
  3. Pick the alerts you want, including the available balance alert and its frequency.

You can modify or cancel the alerts from the same option later.

At an ATM

Insert your Emirates Islamic debit card, enter the PIN and choose balance enquiry. Another bank’s ATM will also show your balance, though that bank may charge for it. The general guide to ATM balance check in UAE covers machines across the country.

If you switched mobile networks

Balance services that rely on your registered mobile number, including Phone Banking and SMS alerts, keep working after a number port, but only for du numbers that moved from etisalat. If you ported in any other direction, or got a new number, update your mobile number in your profile through Online Banking, the app, or a Phone Banking agent. Until you do, alerts go to the old number.

When the balance doesn’t add up

  • Lower than expected. Card payments at hotels, fuel stations and online shops can hold funds before the final amount posts. Check the transaction list in EI+.
  • A transaction you didn’t make. Block the card through Phone Banking on 600 599 995 straight away.
  • Salary missing. If no salary credit alert came and the app shows no credit, the payment hasn’t reached the bank. Ask payroll for the payment date. A salary not received in the UAE case follows a set MOHRE process.
