At a branch or by phone

Why the balance may not match what you expect
Your available balance is what you can actually spend. It can be lower than the figure you think you have because:
- Pending transactions. A payment that hasn’t finished processing is already reserved.
- Pre-authorisations. Some shops, hotels and restaurants hold more than the bill to cover tips. You’re only charged the final amount, but the extra is held until then.
- Fees. ATM withdrawals and enquiries, declined transactions and card replacement are taken from the card balance.
An ATM screen or printed slip isn’t treated as a conclusive statement of your card. Use the app if the two disagree.

A declined transaction costs money too, so check the balance in the app before a large purchase. The card can hold up to AED 199,999, and there’s no minimum balance.
If your salary hasn’t arrived
Only your employer can load salary onto the card, through an Al Ansari Exchange branch or another method Al Ansari accepts. If the app shows no salary credit after payday, the employer hasn’t loaded it yet. Ask payroll for the payment date. A salary not received in the UAE case follows a set MOHRE process if the delay continues.
Lost card
Call +971 4 377 2640 as soon as you notice. Al Ansari suspends the card to stop further use. If you find it later, don’t use it until Al Ansari confirms it’s safe. A replacement costs AED 25 plus VAT and needs the required documents. Unauthorised transactions must be reported within 30 days of the debit date.
