LuLu Exchange’s SWIFT code is LULUAEAD, registered to LuLu International Exchange in Abu Dhabi. The 11-character version is LULUAEADXXX. Both point to the head office on Floor 9 of Madinat Zayed Office Tower, New Airport Road.
Before anyone sends money to that code, check with LuLu Exchange that it will accept the payment and what reference it needs. An exchange house isn’t a bank, and you can’t treat its code like a bank account’s.

Why LuLu’s code works differently from a bank’s
A bank’s SWIFT code reaches your account because the payment also carries your IBAN. LULUAEAD identifies LuLu Exchange itself on the SWIFT network, not a customer account, so a payment sent to it only reaches you if LuLu has agreed to take it and knows which reference belongs to you.
LuLu uses SWIFT mainly in the other direction. Its remittance service sends money from the UAE to bank accounts abroad through direct bank arrangements, SWIFT and other partners, for both individual and business customers.
If someone overseas wants to pay you and you’re a LuLu customer, the usual routes are:
- A UAE bank account. Give them your bank’s SWIFT code and your IBAN.
- Cash pickup or a remittance partner that pays out through LuLu, using the reference the sender’s provider gives them.
- A payment to LuLu itself using LULUAEAD, only after LuLu has confirmed it will accept it and told you what to put in the reference.
LuLu charges when you send by SWIFT
When you send money abroad from LuLu, the fee depends on the destination, currency and amount. LuLu’s remittance key facts statement sets international bank transfers at AED 0 to AED 180 or more including VAT, and transfers to UAE bank accounts through UAEFTS at up to AED 21 including VAT, credited within 24 to 48 working hours. Intermediary and beneficiary banks can take their own charges on top, depending on the destination country.
Mistakes to avoid
- Using LULUAEAD for a LuLu salary card. A payroll card isn’t a SWIFT destination. Salaries reach payroll cards through the employer’s WPS agent.
- Sending without confirmation. A payment with no matching reference can sit unapplied or be returned, with charges taken along the way.
