How do I check my bank balance in the UAE?
Use your bank's mobile app, internet banking, any ATM of your bank, or the bank's SMS or phone banking service. Payroll cards such as Ratibi can also be checked at ATMs and through the issuer's app.
Can I check a salary card balance without a bank account?
Yes. Payroll cards issued by banks and exchange houses can be checked through the issuer's app, website or ATMs, without a full bank account.
What is WPS?
The Wage Protection System is the UAE's electronic salary transfer system. Employers pay salaries through approved banks and exchange houses, often onto payroll cards.
Is there a fee to check balance at another bank's ATM?
Some banks charge a small fee for balance enquiries at other banks' ATMs. Your own bank's ATMs and app are free.
Why is my salary not showing on my card?
WPS salaries can take one or two working days to credit. If it is late, contact your employer first, then the card issuer.
